Jaime Munguía is just 27 years old, but his career is already full of success, largely due to the power of his punch, which has led him to win most of his fights by knockout. This weekend he faces the challenge of taking on one of Mexico's boxing legends: Saul Alvarez.

The talented fighter from Tijuana has excelled as a world champion at super welterweight and is now looking to break into the super middleweight division.

Standing 1.83 meters tall, Munguía has forged a solid career since his pro debut on July 13, 2013 in Tijuana, facing Manuel Mora and knocking him out in two rounds.

His meteoric rise led him to become world champion on May 12, 2018 by defeating Sadam Ali by technical knockout in four rounds.

He successfully defended his title five times before moving up to middleweight and now super middleweight.
