Former West Ham United winger Felipe Anderson has signed a pre-contract agreement to join Palmeiras after deciding not to renew his deal with Lazio.

The Brazilian side said in a statement that the 31-year-old has agreed a three-year deal until December 2027, starting from July 1.

Anderson confirmed he had not agreed a new contract to extend his stay in Italy, meaning he will leave Lazio at the end of the season.

He said on Instagram: “Out of respect for Lazio and its fans who always supported me, I confirm that I have not reached an agreement to renew my contract with the club and I will therefore follow a new path next season."

Anderson made his debut for Lazio in 2013 after signing from Santos. During his initial five-year stint in Rome, he achieved notable success, including winning the Italian Super Cup in 2017.

The following year, he made the move to West Ham, spending two seasons in east London.

After a season-long loan at Porto, he returned to Lazio in 2021. He has made 319 appearances for the club, scoring 58 goals and providing 63 assists.
