Senate dismisses impeachment charges against Mayorkas
Senate Democrats dismissed all charges against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas without holding a trial. Republicans, who had accused Mayorkas of willfully ignoring immigration laws, blasted the move to skip a trial. Mayorkas called the accusations baseless.
