Klay Thompson broke the record for most threes in a game with 14 threes, and set the entire NBA world on fire. During halftime Steph Curry had a look at the boxscore and he turned to Klay Thompson and told him to push for the record. The record held by Curry himself. In a league where a lot of ego is involved, where some guys are stat padding, or yelling that the team can’t win without them, or fighting for who the top dog of the team is, I found Curry’s initiative extremely refreshing. And not only that he said it, but Steph Curry actually played a huge role in it. He actually pushed to see his own accomplishment get surpassed. Klay Thompson ended up breaking the record with the help of his teammate who he is often compared to when it comes to the best shooters in the NBA today.
