Alabama defensive back Malachi Moore ejected for targeting vs. Texas A&M Aggies football
Alabama defensive back Malachi Moore was ejected for targeting against the Texas A&M football team on Saturday, Oct. 9.
Moore was ejected with 13:46 left in the first quarter.
He was ejected for a hit on Texas A&M quarterback Zach Calzada.
The game was scoreless at the point Moore was ejected.
Since the targeting ejection occurred in the first half, he is eligible to return for the entire Alabama game at Mississippi State on Oct. 16.
Alabama, ranked No. 1 in the USA Today Sports AFCA Coaches Poll, came into the matchup 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the SEC. Most recently, Alabama beat Ole Miss 42-21 on Oct. 2.
The Texas A&M Aggies entered the game 3-2 overall and 0-2 in the SEC. On Oct. 2, Mississippi State beat TAMU 26-22.
Entering Saturday, Alabama leads the all-time series 11-2 vs. Texas A&M.
