Anderson already is second on the Crimson Tide’s all-time sacks list with 32.5. Thomas holds the record with 52.
2 Players in Alabama history have more passing yards than QB Bryce Young, who has 7,471. AJ McCarron holds the school record with 9,019 passing yards, with John Parker Wilson second with 7,924. Young passed Tua Tagovailoa on Alabama’s career passing list in last week’s game. In total offense, Young, with 7,605, still trails Tagovailoa for third place by 177 yards. McCarron also holds that record with 8,969 yards of total offense with Wilson second at 8,099.
4 Teams from Alabama are on Austin Peay’s 2022 schedule. The Governors won 28-3 at Alabama A&M on Sept. 17, lost to visiting Jacksonville State 40-16 on Oct. 29 and won at North Alabama 38-35 on Nov. 5.

But from 2009 through 2019, Alabama’s pre-Auburn opponents were more like this season, when the Tide plays Austin Peay on Saturday. In the game before the Iron Bowl from 2009 through 2019, Alabama defeated Chattanooga and Western Carolina three times apiece and Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Charleston Southern, Mercer and the Citadel once each.
