September 8, 2021 marked the 25th anniversary of the premiere of Nick Jr.’s ’90s classic, children’s TV show Blue’s Clues. To commemorate the occasion, the original host Steve Burns makes a nostalgic return.

In a newly released video, Burns links up with his fellow Blue’s Clues alum Donovan Patton and Josh Dela Cruz, Blue’s Clues & You! star. The clip brings forwards the different generations of the show while another sees Steve address his departure from the show all these years. Steve explains, “I never forgot you, ever, and I’m super glad we’re still friends,” tugging at audiences’ heartstrings.

Nickelodeon has once called Blue’s Clues one of its most successful and critically acclaimed preschool TV shows. Many who grew up in the ’90s have often had fond memories of learning and interacting with Steve Burns and Blue’s Clues. The original series ran for six seasons between 1996 and 2002 before Steve Burns was replaced by Donovan Patton. Check out the anniversary video above and Steve’s address below.

In other entertainment news, Owen Wilson has joined the cast of Disney’s Haunted Mansion reboot.
