Boston Celtics: 2 potential multi-team Kevin Love trades

Earlier this morning, I explored the possibility of the Boston Celtics usurping the Brooklyn Nets in their pursuit of Kevin Love, who is rumored to have Sean Marks’ eye right now:

I liked the idea. Brooklyn doesn’t need to bond Kyrie Irving with Kevin Love again. Those two share a mutual trauma of being the media scrutiny sponges of LeBron James’ return to “the Land.”

When they were absent in the 2015 NBA Finals–Irving went down at the end of game one with a knee issue and never returned, while Love had his shoulder torn out by then-Boston Celtics forward Kelly Olynyk–the “king” watched the Golden State Warriors take home the crown despite herculean efforts to bring his home-state his first win.

The two returned in 2016 and helped James win his third title, but were the scapegoats for when they couldn’t replicate the feat in 2017. That Kevin Durant was the man to stop James from adding to his legacy (denying him again in 2018) and still hasn’t gotten his due, this Brooklyn team would have the chippiest of chips on their shoulder in denying James in 2021.

Then there’s the James Harden element. Despite being dominant in Houston, he too was denied by Durant and the Warriors. This bunch would be too fired up, and in the following trade scenarios, usurping the Nets in acquiring Love could be part of something much larger:
