Cards trade for lefty Montgomery: 'He'll fit in great'

“First off, [Montgomery] is a really good guy, and from that standpoint, I think he’ll fit in great in our clubhouse,” Cardinals president of baseball operations John Mozeliak said. “Speaking [of] him, I would imagine he would be a bit stunned that he was being traded -- just as Harrison was. For us, it’s about [getting] a guy who can move the ball, spin the ball and get ground balls. We feel like both [José] Quintana and [Montgomery] fit perfectly with what we’re trying to accomplish.”
