Liverpool battled back to beat AC Milan 3-2 in a thrilling Champions League group B match at Anfield.
The home side started at a thrilling pace and took the lead when Trent Alexander-Arnold’s shot deflected off of Fikayo Tomori. Mohamed Salah then had the chance to double Liverpool’s advantage from the penalty spot — only for Mike Maignan to pull off a fine save.
Milan then struck twice in quick succession to take a shock lead, with Ante Rebic and Brahim Diaz silencing the home crowd before the break.
Milan then had a goal disallowed at the start of the second half, before Salah atoned for his penalty error by rifling home from close range in the 49th minute.
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson completed the comeback with a superb strike from the edge of the area.
