The No. 15 Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, in just their fifth year as a full-time FBS football program, look to move to 6-0 when they take on the host Arkansas State Red Wolves in Sun Belt action on Thursday night. The Chanticleers (5-0, 1-0) are coming off a conference-opening 59-6 win over Louisiana-Monroe. The Red Wolves (1-4, 0-1) opened their conference slate on Saturday with a 59-33 loss at Georgia Southern. Arkansas State is 1-1 on its home field this season.

Kickoff from Centennial Bank Stadium in Jonesboro, Ark., will be at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Red Wolves can move the ball and have been prolific through the air. Arkansas State posted a school-record 582 passing yards against Memphis in a 55-50 loss on Sept. 11, and 443 vs. Georgia Southern, the eighth-most in school history, in a 59-33 loss on Saturday. For the season, Arkansas State has thrown for 1,885 yards and 15 touchdowns this season. The Red Wolves are averaging 377 passing yards per game, fifth in the country, while the 15 passing touchdowns are tied for seventh-most. Arkansas State has thrown for at least 300 yards and two TDs in four of its first five games.

Defensively, Arkansas State has posted five interceptions, which is just one shy of its total from last season. All five have come from different players, including Samy Johnson, E.J. Alexander, Jeffmario Brown, Leon Jones and Jarius Reimonenq. Johnson now has three career picks, while Reimonenq has two. Alexander leads the team in tackles with 37, including 21 solo, with one sack for five yards. He forced one fumble and recovered two fumbles.
