Gonzaga Bulldogs senior Corey Kispert was named the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year on Saturday.

Kispert is the face of the Bulldogs squad that is currently two wins away from an undefeated run to the national championship. The Zags play the UCLA Bruins in the Final Four in just a few hours.

After averaging 6.7 points in nearly 20 minutes his freshman year, Kispert has evolved from a role player, to a glue guy, to the main offensive threat in his four years at Gonzaga. This season, Kispert is averaging 18.9 points while shooting 45 percent from long range. He has elevated his game to potential NBA Draft lottery status.

Kispert is the second Zag to win the award in its short history. Notably, Rui Hachimura won the award in the 2018-19 season, despite the fact he rarely logged minutes as a traditional small forward.
