Cowboys vs. Patriots odds, picks, line, how to watch, live stream: Model reveals 2021 Week 6 NFL predictions

The history of Cowboys vs. Patriots is one defined by two different streaks. The teams have played each other 13 times before with Dallas winning the first seven and New England winning the last six. Sunday's matchup is compliments of the NFL's expansion to a 17-game schedule as the game wouldn't be taking place without it. Dallas enters Sunday's showdown with its first 4-1 start since 2016, while New England's 2-3 start matches its record after five games from a year ago.

Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. ET from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. Dallas is a 3.5-point favorite in the latest Cowboys vs. Patriots odds per Caesars Sportsbook. The over-under for total points scored is 50.5. In select markets, Sunday's matchup can be seen live on CBS and streamed live on Paramount+ with their must-have Premium plan.

How to watch Patriots vs. Cowboys

Before you tune in to Sunday's Patriots vs. Cowboys game, you need to see the NFL picks from SportsLine's advanced computer model. The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up almost $7,900 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception six-plus years ago. It went a sizzling 24-14 on top-rated NFL picks last season, returning more than $800. The model also enters Week 6 of the 2021 season on an incredible 125-83 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season.

The model also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past five years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94 percent of CBS Sports Football Pick'em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

For Cowboys vs. Patriots, the model is backing New England (+3.5) to cover the spread at home. Mac Jones -- who was never an underdog at Alabama -- looked quite comfortable in his first career games as an underdog vs. Tampa Bay in Week 4. Despite getting 6.5-points in that contest, Jones and New England covered with room to spare and came mere inches from winning the game outright.

Speaking of winning straight up, that's something that the Cowboys have never done vs. Bill Belichick. He is 5-0 versus Dallas and has an ace up his sleeve for Sunday's game in OLB Matthew Judon. The former Raven ranks second in the NFL in sacks (6.5) and will get to go up against a backup tackle with La'el Collins suspended. As a team, New England is taking down the opposing QB on 7.8 percent of all passing plays, which ranks fifth in the league.

The model sees the Patriots' success at bringing down the QB continuing as it has New England sacking Prescott at least twice. That will slow down Dallas' high-powered offense as the model has Prescott passing for just 17 more yards than Jones. With the passing games all but equal, the model has New England (+3.5) covering as home underdogs in almost 60 percent of simulations.
