Derrick Rose gets engaged on Madison Square Garden court

Congratulations are in order for the future Mr. and Mrs. Derrick Rose.

The Knicks star proposed to his longtime girlfriend Alaina Anderson at center court at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night.

Rose popped the question with a massive square-cut diamond ring, which Anderson showed off in a video on Instagram.

“MRS. ROSE MY FACE HURTS Just got engaged in MSG nothing major!” the fitness and fashion entrepreneur wrote in her caption. She flashed her ring in the clip before Rose made a cameo in a red croquet hat and glasses.

The bride-to-be’s video included background music by Drake. She carefully selected the rapper’s song, “Furthest Thing,” that features the lyric: “I had to Derrick Rose the knee up ‘fore I got the re-up.”

Rose also took to his Instagram to confirm the engagement news.

The All-Star guard penned a tribute to Anderson, who he called “My Ace” in his caption. Rose included a snapshot of the couple’s dinner table, which was set up near the Knicks logo at center court — and was topped with champagne and red wine.

“I didn’t know things were going to go this way. Even from the jump I didn’t know I was texting Big Jay,” Rose wrote. “I didn’t know how you were going to perceive me.

“But this entire time I was hoping that you would believe me. Believe the words that I will have your back and love u forever. When I FIRST saw you I told Ryan that we were gon be together. It took both of us a while to let down our guards. That’s only becuz both of our hearts were scarred. We are two peas in a pod becuz we are truly MISUNDERSTOOD. We got our heart and swag from this place called ENGLEWOOD.

“I will always love you becuz you go above and beyond We built a beautiful family and a unbreakable bond,” he continued, adding, “Thank you Queen.”

Rose and Anderson have been together since at least 2016, and share two children together. They welcomed their first child, daughter Layla Malibu in 2018, and son London Marley Rose in May 2019. Rose has a son from a previous relationship, Derrick “PJ” Rose Jr.
