The Granite Bay football community is mourning a former player who died.Devon Wylie was a wide receiver who graduated from Granite Bay High School and went on to play at Fresno State from 2007-11. In 2012, Wylie was drafted in the fourth round by the Kansas City Chiefs. His NFL career continued the next year with the Tennessee Titans. Rick Sutter, a Granite Bay football staff member who knew Wylie, said he was an inspiration on and off the field. "He was a God-loving man, he was funny, he was a team player, he was loved by all of his coaches and by all his players. He was an inspiration," Sutter said. Fresno State’s football program shared a condolence message on X, formerly known as Twitter, that said their thoughts were with Wylie's family.No cause of death was given. Wylie was 35.
