Dolly Parton recreates Playboy photo shoot for husband's birthday: 'It’s always #HotGirlSummer'

Dolly Parton sent the social media world into an ecstatic viral spiral Tuesday when the country superstar dressed up like an original Playboy bunny (ears, bow-tie and all) and wished her hubby a very happy birthday.

"It’s always #HotGirlSummer for my husband, Carl, 💝 Happy birthday my love!" the 75-year-old icon tweeted, donned in sexy black bustier, black gloves, white and pink bow tie and bunny ears.

Parton, whose been married to her husband for 57 years, posted the tweet about 4:40 p.m.

Less than a half-hour later the post had gone viral with nearly 30,000 likes.

Even NFL players chimed in on the DP love.

"God Bless Dolly Parton. She is truly a legend." Tennessee Titan Taylor Lewan responded online to her post.

"You're probably wondering why I'm dressed like this, well it's for my husband's birthday," the blonde-haired cheerful icon said in the one minute and 17 second video. "Member sometime back I said I was going to pose on the Playboy magazine when I was 75? Well I'm 75 and they don't have a magazine anymore."

Parton went onto say said her husband always loved the original cover of Playboy.

"So I was trying to do something to make him happy. He still thinks I'm a hot chick after 57 years and I'm not going to try and talk him out of that. And I hope he agrees. What do you think?"

Parton said she created a photo shoot for her husband in the outfit and had a cover made of the "old new Dolly."

Parton became the first country singer to pose for Playboy when she appeared in the iconic Playboy bunny outfit, ears and bow tie on the October 1978 cover when she was 32. Parton previously spoke about wanting to pose again for the outlet, which went completely digital in March 2020.

"In the first one... I was kind of a little butterball in that one. Well I'm string cheese now. But he'll probably think I'm cream cheese, I hope....You think Playboy oughta at least pay me for the photoshoot? I do."

Parton said she went on to surprise her hubs with the photo cover and sing him Happy Birthday."

"I. Love. This. Woman." Joe Walsh, former candidate for president tweeted.

"Carl is one lucky man to get this for his birthday. You DID that, Dolly," Vilissa Thompson tweeted.

Jessica Reyes tweeted, "We do not deserve @DollyParton. This is the BEST."

Last October the music icon teased the possibility again in a radio interview with the BBC saying she might pose for the outlet to honor her milestone birthday in January.

Bonnie Halpin was the first Playboy bunny also known as a “door bunny” or greeter on the opening day of the first Playboy Club in 1960.

Parton, who grew up in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, has won 49 Grammy nominations and nine wins for the singer/songwriter. Also an actress and author, she's been nominated for two Oscars, three Emmys and a Tony. She runs an entertainment empire, the Dollywood Company, that employs thousands.

Partin, one of USA TODAY's Women of the Century. donated $1 million to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville earlier this year to help fund research crucial to developing Modena’s Covid-19 vaccine.
