England vs Scotland at Euro 2020: The lowdown

The match, which will kick off at 8pm BST on Friday, June 18, will be available on ITV and through ITV Hub in the UK.

In the US, the game will kick off at 12pm PST / 3pm EST and will be shown on ESPN/Univision.

The game will be played at London’s Wembley Stadium.

The reason to watch the match

The geographical closeness of England and Scotland makes this match a hotly contested affair each time these two nations lock horns.

Most notably in Euro 1996, where Paul Gascoigne scored one of England’s most memorable goals at a major tournament at the old Wembley.

England manager Gareth Southgate started in defence 25 years ago but will only represent his country from the touchline on Friday, as he tries to guide England to a place in the round of 16.

Scotland, meanwhile, will be looking to get their Euro 2020 campaign back on track after losing 2-0 to the Czech Republic via a Patrick Schick wonder goal from the halfway line.

England’s last victory over Scotland was a 3-0 win in a World Cup qualifier back in November 2016.

Scotland’s last triumph against England came all way back in November 1999 in a European Qualifiers play-off 2nd leg which ended 1-0. England ended up going through 2-1 on aggregate.

England have scored at least two goals in each of their last four matches against Scotland in all competitions.

So… this is going to be a 0-0 then?

It should be a tight game but England will narrowly edge it. 1-0.
