Giannis Antetokounmpo Got His Toddlers Tiny Matching Green Suits for His Movie Premiere

When you’re a parent, or so I’ve been told, there are certain things that are easier to get away with when your kids are younger than when they get a little older. Dressing multiple kids in matching outfits (much less you, as a parent, matching with them) is one of those things.

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is father to two sons under the age of 3, is squarely within the matching-outfits window. He took full advantage to secure three matching olive green double-breasted suits—and spanking-new pairs of white Air Force 1s—for himself, two-year-old Liam, and 10-month-old Maverick to wear to the premiere of the new Disney+ biopic Rise, which is based on Antetokounmpo’s life and his family’s path from Nigeria, to Greece, to the NBA. Showing off the teensy suits on Instagram, Antetokounmpo said with a grin, “Looks similar, huh?”

The Rise premiere was, naturally, a family affair: Mariah, plus Giannis, Liam, Mav, and their suits—which were all custom from Brown & Brown Clothiers, a bespoke clothing store based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana—attended alongside three of Giannis’s five brothers, Thanasis, Kostas, and Alex, as well as their mom, Vera Antetokounmpo.

Antetokounmpo spoke about fatherhood in his GQ cover story last fall, marveling at Mariah and Vera’s force as mothers. “Seeing what the body has to go through in order to bring this beautiful, sweet thing into the world, it’s insane,” he said. “I’m like, ‘Mom, you went through this for all five of us?’” The pride that is wearing matching suits feels like only the tip of the iceberg.
