Despite that, the Hornets ALMOST grabbed victory at the buzzer, as Miles Bridges’ halfcourt heave rolled out of the rim.

Despite the heartbreaking loss, Ball and the Hornets have earned the respect of their peers. Taking the defending champions to the brink of defeat is a great sign of things to come. For his part, Giannis himself asked for a jersey swap with the young LaMelo Ball, proving the guard’s entry into the elite territory.
