Our Huskers are running up against a tremendous game plan by Minnesota so far. The Gophers are loading up the offensive line, forcing Nebraska to go heavy up front and then Tanner Morgan is capable of dicing up the soft coverage the Blackshirts are in to compensate.

The Gophers dominated time of possession BIGLY. They scored a touchdown on their opening drive while Nebraska had few answers of their own when they had the ball.

On the bright side, Connor Culp nailed a 50 yard field goal to get the Huskers on the board.

The Gophers opened the quarter with a big shot at the end zone which they converted. Wow. The Minnesota game plan is working to perfection. The Huskers need an answer and soon. (They went three and out).

Cam Taylor-Britt, Zavier Betts and Jaq Yant and Austin Allen registered big plays and then Rahmir Johnson got into the end zone!!

The Gophers marched right back down the field and were into a first and goal situation with plenty of time on the clock. Notice that Nebraska’s offense is snapping the ball with 11-12 seconds on the play clock and Minnesota is snapping with 2-3 seconds. They are playing the limited possession game and hoping their defense is better than ours (a good bet so far). Touchdown Minnesota.

With 1:53 left, the Husker offense needs to respond. (They don’t).

We need a second half comeback against a team that seems to have our number.
