The Brooklyn Nets didn’t get the 2021 NBA season started off on the right foot, as they fell to the Bucks in Milwaukee thanks to another dominant performance from Giannis Antetokounmpo. The latest Nets odds at least have them bouncing back to win, albeit in a narrow fashion.

The Nets will take on a division rival in the Philadelphia 76ers, who are themselves struggling to keep their locker room together amid the constant drama surrounding Ben Simmons.

Simmons will not suit up in this game, meaning that Brooklyn will no longer have to worry about one of the best perimeter defenders in the league until this trade saga gets resolved.

Will this game turn the Nets into a winner for the first time this season? Or will a title favorite end up going 0-2 to start the season off?

The latest odds from WynnBET have the Nets as -3 favorites against the spread, with Brooklyn -110 (bet $110 to win $100) to cover. The Nets are -150 (bet $150 to win $100) on the moneyline, while Philadelphia clocks in at +130 (bet $100 to win $130).

The over-under in this contest is 226, with both the over and under coming in at -110. With so much star power on both sides of the floor, it’s easy to see why Vegas expects a fireworks show.

The only Net that is not listed as active is Kyrie Irving. I think we all know why.

The Nets starting off 0-2 seems almost impossible, but against a Sixers team that will start Joel Embiid down in the post, they could get beat up to such a degree where Philly steals another win in what promises to be a tough Atlantic Division race.

However, without Simmons playing, Brooklyn should be able to get enough production out of James Harden and Kevin Durant on the perimeter to make up for their shortcomings in the paint. After a tough offseason, Steve Nash and the squad could really get into a groove in this game.

Make your pick now on WynnBET.

What channel is the Brooklyn Nets game on?

Friday’s game will be broadcast at 7:30 p.m. ET on YES for the locals and ESPN for a nationwide audience.

After two tough road games to open the season, Brooklyn will get to start a long homestand with some games against Southeast Division opponents. This stretch includes matchups against LaMelo Ball’s Hornets, Bradley Beal’s Wizards, and Kyle Lowry’s Heat.
