Pregame: Receiver Isaiah Garcia-Castaneda out for Nebraska vs. Indiana
Nebraska receiver Isaiah Garcia-Castaneda will not play Saturday night against Indiana.
The junior transfer from New Mexico State — who has five catches for 120 yards this season — was not suited up in during warmups.
NU will be without the services of reserves Heinrich Haarberg, Kamonte Grimes and James Carnie, among others.
» According to multiple reports from news media that cover Indiana, the Hoosiers’ top two receivers, Cam Camper and DJ Matthews, won’t play tonight.
» Freshman cornerback Malcolm Hartzog, who has played sparingly this season, warmed up with the No. 1 defense in lieu of Tommi Hill.
» Nebraska will try yet another offensive line combination – its third in as many games – with left tackle Turner Corcoran, left guard Ethan Piper, center Trent Hixson, right guard Broc Bando and right tackle Bryce Benhart. Ian Boerkircher took second-team snaps at center.
» Nebraska seemed slightly late-arriving to the field for warmups, walking onto the field as a team at the 40-minute mark and starting its work a few minutes later.
» Late-arriving crowd, too. Nebraska sold out Saturday night’s game, but to say it’ll be a full house would be stretching it.
