Rivian’s electric vehicles were prominently featured Tuesday in the live-stream video of Blue Origin’s first human flight to space.

Blue Origin was launched by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Amazon is one of one Rivian’s biggest investors and customers, ordering 100,000 electric delivery vans that will be made in Normal.

The Blue Origin crew was shuttled to the West Texas launch pad Tuesday morning inside a Rivian R1S sport utility vehicle. The vehicle was prominently featured in the pre-launch live-stream video.

It’s not Rivian’s first foray into pop culture, and it’s not likely to be the last. Rivian vehicles were featured last year in the Ewan McGregor Apple TV show “Long Way Up.”
