The Sacramento Kings (29-22) battle the New Orleans Pelicans (27-27) Sunday. Tip from Smoothie King Center is set for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Kings vs. Pelicans odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

This will be the 1st of 3 matchups between these 2 teams.

The Kings lost to the Indiana Pacers 107-104 Friday, failing to cover as a 2-point road favorite. This will be the 5th of the Kings 7-game road trip. Sacramento is 2-2 against the spread (ATS) in the 1st 4 games. It is 5-4-1 ATS in its last 10 and 28-22-1 ATS this season.

The Pelicans beat the Lakers 131-126 Saturday, covering as a 1.5-point home favorite. New Orleans is just 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games. It snapped a 10-game losing streak with the win. New Orleans is 25-29 ATS on the season.

New Orleans is 18-9 straight up at home. I would play them to win here but prefer the spread.

The Pelicans are coming off a home win and cover over the Lakers, and they are 15-12 ATS at home this season. While New Orleans has struggled lately, the Kings are just 2-3 ATS and straight up in their last 5.

There is also a key strength-on-weakness that should be noted. The Kings shoot the NBA’s 7th-most 3-point attempts while the Pelicans rank 2nd in opponents’ 3-point field goal percentage (34.4%). New Orleans should limit what Sacramento is best at and inevitably continue its win streak.

The Kings score the most points per game in the NBA, 119.2. They also allow 116.2. Sacramento has a keep bench to minimize the impact of Fox’s absence as well.

As for the Pelicans, they have allowed at least 120 in 3 of their last 4 games and are 3-1 O/U in that span as well. With F Brandon Ingram coming off a 35-point game, the Pelicans should be starting to find their groove again.
