SU basketball drops first game of season against Tennessee in Maui Invitational

Syracuse, N.Y. ― The Syracuse Orange had a rocky outing against a tough Tennessee defense in a 73-56 loss to the 7th-ranked Volunteers in the opening round of the Maui Invitational in Honolulu on Monday.
Although the game was closer than the final score indicated; Syracuse was down just 61-56 with three minutes remaining before Tennessee scored the last 12 points of the game, the Volunteeers’ defense dominated the game.
