Today’s ‘Wordle’ Word Of The Day #369 Hint And Answer: Thursday, June 23rd

It’s June 23rd already. They say time flies when you’re having fun but it also seems to fly when you’re not, and the last ten or eleven days of COVID-19 I’ve been weathering have not been fun. Granted, it’s not the worst thing ever (thanks to weaker strains and vaccines) but it’s still a drag and I am sick of it.

Wordle provides some nice distraction, of course. The viral puzzle word game continues to be wildly popular, if down from its peak popularity this past February when everyone and their mother was playing the game.

Today’s word is a bit of a tricky one, I should warn you. Let’s take a look.

First, a hint: Similar to ‘on the edge.’

And the answer is . . . .

I could see how this might be a tough word depending on which letters you eliminate first. After all, if I hadn’t eliminated the ‘D’ with my first guess dream I might have guessed drink later on. I very easily could have chosen frisk instead of brisk.

Ultimately, my first two guesses really did eliminate a lot of possibilities, however, and my third set me up for success. My first guess cut total solutions down from 2,309 to 67 and then grout brought that number to just 12. Brisk left me with two possible choices: brick and brink and I guessed the right one. Wordle Bot was mostly all compliments today.

It’s almost the weekend, boys and girls. Hallelujah!
