Southampton will host Liverpool in their final Premier League game before they are relegated to the Championship next season.

The Saints' fate was sealed following a defeat against Fulham on May 13. They have not won a game in the league since March 4, a 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Leicester.

Liverpool have also had a poor season by their standards as they have failed to qualify for the Champions League. They will join Brighton in the Europa League for the 2023/24 campaign.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of the Premier League fixture between Southampton and Liverpool.

What time does Southampton vs Liverpool kick off?

This Premier League match at St Marys Stadium in Southampton kicks off on Sunday, May 28 at 4.30pm local time.

Here's how that time translates across some of the major territories:

USA: This match will not be televised in the United States, but can be streamed on Peacock.

UK: This fixture will be not broadcast or streamed on any platform in the UK.

Australia: Fans in Australia can watch Premier League matches on Optus Sport.

Ruben Selles, who will leave his role at Southampton at the end of the season, looks set to continue with his 4-4-2 formation.

Juan Larios and Mohammed Salisu are both out with muscle injuries while defender Armel Bella-Kotchap is also sidelined. Romain Perraud joins the injury list with a knock.

After missing out on Champions League football, Klopp will certainly urge his team to give the away fans something to celebrate.

Stefan Bajcetic and Naby Keita will be missing from the Liverpool midfield due to muscle problems, while Thiago has a hip injury. Calvin Ramsey is still out with a knee injury.

Unsurprisingly, Liverpool are the bookmakers' favourites to win this match on the final day of the Premier League season, despite the fact there is little riding on it. This will be Roberto Firmino's last game for the Reds, and he will want to leave with a goal.
