Survivor Series is WWE's second-longest running annual show after WrestleMania, and since 1987, the format has generally been the same: teams of four (or five) in elimination tag matches that take place around Thanksgiving.

Five-man (and five-woman) teams will compete at Survivor Series on Saturday (8 p.m. ET on Peacock) at T.D. Garden in Boston but with a familiar twist. WarGames, the two-ring cage match Dusty Rhodes created for National Wrestling Alliance in 1987, will make its debut on WWE's main roster all these years later.

One member from each team kicks off the match. Five minutes later, another person enters the match. After that, someone is welcomed to the fray every three minutes until all members enter the cage. That's when the match officially begins, and it only ends via pinfall or submission.

In one WarGames matchup, Undisputed Universal champion Roman Reigns and The Bloodline -- Jimmy and Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa and Sami Zayn -- will go head-to-head with Sheamus and The Battling Brutes -- Butch and Ridge Holland -- joined by Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens.

Besides the traditional WarGames matchups, two titles will be on the line. Seth "Freakin'" Rollins will defend his United States championship in a triple threat against Austin Theory, who failed to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase last week, and Bobby Lashley.

The SmackDown women's title will be up for grabs, too, when Ronda Rousey takes on surprise challenger Shotzi.

And, in what figures to be a memorable single's match, The Judgement Day and The O.C. will continue their feud when Finn Balor meets A.J. Styles.

Mike Coppinger recaps all the action as it happens in Boston.

Women's WarGames match: Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Mia Yim and Becky Lynch def. Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY), Nikki Cross, and Rhea Ripley

Who knew Bianca and Becky could work together so well? The duo finished off the Damage CTRL-led five woman squad to get the win in the kickoff to WarGames. More to come from Boston in a bit.

Still to come:
• None Men's WarGames match: The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, Sami Zayn, and The Usos) vs. The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Ridge Holland, and Butch), Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens
• None United States championship triple threat: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Austin Theory
