‘Young Sheldon’ Cast Reacts To News Series Is Ending With Season 7: “Can’t Stop Crying”
Young Sheldon star Iain Armitage is promising “the best seventh season we can possibly make,” after hearing the news that the upcoming Season 7 will be the last for the hit Big Bang Theory spinoff.
“In case you wondered, I love my family,” he said, alongside an on-set photo with TV siblings Raegan Revord and Montana Jordan. “There’s about 200 more people who make Young Sheldon happen and I’m grateful for each of them.
“We will make the best seventh season we can possibly make,” wrote Armitage. “And behind the scenes there will be lots of laughter and lots of tears because I love all of these people so much.”
Revord, who plays Sheldon’s twin sister Missy, commented on Armitage’s post: “Can’t stop crying,” she wrote. “My family forever!”
As we reported yesterday, the series will conclude with the upcoming 14-episode seventh season. Young Sheldon will air a one-hour series finale on Thursday, May 16, at 8 PM.
From creators, executive producers and writers Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro, Young Sheldon centers on Sheldon Cooper (Armitage), a once-in-a-generation mind capable of advanced mathematics and science, which isn’t always helpful in a land where church and football are king. And while the vulnerable, gifted and somewhat naïve Sheldon deals with the world, his very normal family must find a way to deal with him.
The series also stars Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Annie Potts and Parsons (as the voice of Sheldon). Lorre, Molaro, Holland, Nick Bakay, Parsons and Todd Spiewak serve as executive producers. Young Sheldon is produced by Chuck Lorre Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
