Insurance companies ask COVID patients to split the cost of treatment
The average cost for a COVID-19 related hospitalization is roughly $20,000, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation. As the U.S. vaccination effort continues, more insurers are dropping COVID-19 waivers, requiring patients to split the bill for their hospital stay.
